Had a deposit down at another school, was likely going to take the year off and reapply because I got a new June LSAT score, but Mich was always a top pick for me so... yep

Congrats to the admits! What deadline did you all give in response to the dean's email earlier this month?

I said that I'd be willing to stay on through July, but when I spoke on the phone with the office I indicated that the school I was committed to was far away from my home so knowing earlier would be better for me financially (although I'm not sure what role this played). Hope this helps!

I said whatever/whenever, I hadn't committed to a home for the upcoming year so I was good to make any arrangements on the fly

Mind sharing stats to see if there is some pattern to what they are looking for?

The stats I've seen so far have LSATs starting at 167 and GPAs starting at 3.7. So that 3.7 kind of rules out reverse splitters, but not really. Seems like whatever they're doing for the last spots is pretty holistic.

Anyone want to try to convince me that there is a reason to still be hopeful if we haven't heard anything but also haven't yet been cut?

is 5 in july and 5 in august really a possibility?

who volunteers to call admissions?

10 more people seems like a lot. Good news I suppose though.

Thats what they said. Mentioned a lot of movement at "peer schools" and not wanting to wait too late... I've given up hope. Prepping for Oct. and reapplying. Good luck everyone!

From speaking with the admissions office and browsing this forum and LSN, I do think that Michigan took more people off their waitlist than they originally stated in June. In other words, I think they took more than 5--perhaps 10? Also, I know that I only received a spot in the Lawyer's Club because someone withdrew, so maybe there are really more offers on the way.

Good luck to everyone, I hope that more people get accepted.

Well, since I signed a lease in Ithaca today I figured it was time to leave the waitlist. I just sent out the withdraw email, and good luck to those of you riding the WL.

What could you do? would you be able to get your tuition back? In any case, you might want to move along with that apt. hunt

I imagine there's some provision for refunding tuition up to a certain date, usually the end of drop/add in past experience. Might want to check if it's something you're considering, though.

Do law schools even have a drop/add period?

Can't blame you. I'll wait another week or two and then probabaly do the same if I haven't heard anything.

Anybody think there will be any more offers? Seems like the activity died down after those five offers were made.

I miraculously got a phone call from dean z. on Friday. I am thrilled. I thinks its definitely possible more offers could be made. Best of luck to all still hoping!
