NYLS vs. Hofstra?
I got into both NYLS and Hofstra with scholarships. Just comparing NYLS with Hofstra, do u really think its a big difference for employment? (not considering bar passage rates, since NYLS obviously has a better passage rate...

IARetake
Job prospects from both schools are awful. Better use of your time/resources to sit out a year or two, get good work experience, retake the LSAT and profit.

You should try to find out as much as you can about the job prospects from both schools. You should talk to students who are there now to see how they are doing with finding jobs. I don't know how to advise you about the job prospects - I think you need to get information directly from students and maybe practicing local attorneys. I doubt that you will get much support at OCI but you should at least get a list of firms that interview at both schools and then research those firms and where the lawyers went to school.

For biglaw job prospects, the only information that's going to be concrete and relevant is which firms hired 2L SAs from both schools and how many of them received offers. Good luck getting that information, or anything close to it.rose711 wrote:You should try to find out as much as you can about the job prospects from both schools. Which is why I prefaced my statement with "For biglaw prospects..."cruelestgame wrote:not everyone is looking for big law...especially those with considering scholarships at presumably lower ranked school than others they got in to
