Forum Lingo?

Post by willyj » Sun Nov 28, 2010 10:13 am

As a current law school applicant, I get on this website fairly frequently, and I'm constantly struggling to decipher everyone's posts due to all the crazy acronyms that get thrown around. I feel like this is probably a problem for more folks than just myself, so if anyone wants to clarify some of the more common acronyms, I'm sure there's a lot of TLS users that would appreciate it.

Off the top of my head, I can think of the following that I've managed to figure out:

OP= original poster
YP= yield protect (although i'm not sure I understand the concept of this)
t14= top 14 law schools
YHS= yale, harvard, stanford
URM= underrepresented minority

Anyone wanna add to the list?
