EDIT: Just checked. My date's gone, too. This is just like when you apply somewhere and then they send you a packet from admissions in the mail, and when you open it it's a "Thanks for applying, take a look at our viewbook while you're waiting" package. Those should be illegal.

honestly, why are they taking so long?! I understand they have a ton of applicants but seriously - if you don't like the application don't keep it around. I honestly have no idea what to think. It could be good, bad, or neutral that they have kept my file in review since 11/2.....

Yeah, I've been complete/under review since 11/2 or 11/3, but Barbie's had it way worse than us.

I wonder when the next batch of decisions will be released? LSN shows 11/18 as about the last time decisions were sent out/received.

FWIW, LSN shows that for last year's cycle a HUGE batch of acceptances went out on 12/22.

still under review. I did make sure to "like PSU law'. Although its going to be a conditional like. If they dont like me back, then i wont like them either. I am tempted to send an email like this: ( reference: like means I will be accepted)

If you guys have any questions about PSU, feel free to ask away. I'm a 1L here. I hang out with a handful of 3L's, so my knowledge as to where THEY are getting jobs is about the limit to my knowledge.

As to when PSU is going to accept/deny you? I have no fucking clue.

As to the overall 1L experience? I got you covered from orientation until first semester exams.

Any questions you may want answered about the experience, building, professors, classes, etc. just shoot me an e-mail, or ask me on here. However, I have exams to be studying for, so I wont be on here often.

Let me get this straight. All of this "mailing sent" thing which we were all expecting to be a batch of decisions was nothing more than a "like us on facebook" thing.

Not sure what's up with Penn State. I got accepted to U Iowa, U Nebraska, and U Denver 2 weeks after I applied. Denver doesn't get quite as many applications as Penn State, but they still get a lot and were able to get back to me very quickly. I don't think that Penn State taking their time should be a sign that any of us aren't getting in. According to LSN, my numbers are better than 95% of last year's matriculating class so I don't think I would get outright rejected. Who knows, though.

I spoke with Mr. Shively and he was in Florida recruiting-- maybe this is why it is taking them a little longer

How long does it take to go from complete to under review? They must have received quite a few applications for this cycle.

Did he perhaps mention when they plan on sending out the next batch? Haha. (These are the times I wish each school had a dean posting, a la UIUC.)

I empathize with all of you who have been waiting for several weeks. I have been UR since 11/16. I've only heard from 1 of the schools to which I have applied. I was hoping to have more info by Christmas...

I'm in the same boat (UR since 10/25). Not sure what to think of the long wait...bad news? good news? more applications than expected? It is frustrating, to say the least.

I got accepted to MSU earlier this week. Just before Thanksgiving, they sent me an email stating that they had a 25% increase in applications for this cycle and needed more information to determine scholarships. Maybe this is the situation here. A heavier case load means slower decisions. Just speculation, though...
