for nu, is this better or worse than being waitlisted?
It's like a glorified waitlist. They'll review all the hold files again in April before getting to the regular waitlist.

Definitely better than being rejected, but the waiting game does suck. Still though, glad to see you applied, hopefully it works out down the line. Thinking you'll wait it out?

I'm not sure yet. Would still love to attend, just not sure I can do it at sticker (and I'm assuming thats what people that are held end up with since all the money will be gone).

But, will probably answer one of the essay prompts and send them a short loci just in case they re-evaluate me early and theres still some money left.

Held.

I was weirded out by the "decision" that would not be mailed and for which you had to open a PDF. So unnecessarily convoluted.

I applied back in the first week of November.

Yeah, that's definitely a tough call. I went ED, which for better or worse at least saved me the headache of making that sort of decision.

They do mail the letters, but they take much longer to arrive than the PDF version.

Add me to the held list.

Not too surprised. Alas, I haven't received any good news from any schools in four weeks.

It's on their twitter, but it looks like they did it more to accommodate people still trying to interview? Which is weird, because I thought the interview deadline was like back in December... they must have a hidden agenda.

That's what a 12% fall in applications gets you, I guess.

From Johann's Twitter:
Review of JD apps are now rolling. However, we may review hold apps prior to those that apply between now and March 1st.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
