I got the acceptance letter the first week in Dec., I can get into the accepted students site.
Does anyone know if we get a big, fat package in the mail? I feel as if I need to get that, just like when I got accepted to colleges.
Or, is everytihing on the website? Somehow, it doesn't feel like an official acceptance without a big, fat envelope.
Anyone know?

I got in like mid-november and though they haven't sent a giant package or anything since the acceptance, today a holiday card came from dean cornblatt. The card's generic, just says happy holidays and looking forward to welcome you to our community but I thought it was a very nice touch. I'm loving GULC more everyday. TLS meetup at the ASW in jan?? Or is that internet creepy

Anyone know how financial aid works at GULC? Do we have to apply with FAFSA, etc, in order to receive merit aid, or will they mail offers at some point?

I have heard that it's best to directly ask to be considered for a scholarship at GULC. Just send them an email or call here within the next month or so and ask what you need to do to be considered. Some guy last cycle did that with a 171, 2.98 non-urm and got big bucks. A lot of that was need based, and I don't know how they determine that, but it's encouraging nonetheless.

Does this go for the Public Interest Law Scholars as well? I know the application is on their website but I didn't know if we needed to do anything or be asked to apply.

I know Georgetown is huge and once you are a student you will probably be an anonymous member of your class...but the hand written note on the acceptance letter, the Christmas card, and today's email make me feel warm and fuzzy. Georgetown is making me smile

It appears that once you are bound to attend, the GULC pleasantries come to an abrupt end. Accepted under ED, did not receive a holiday card, didn't receive an email, nothin! Oh well.

I'm in - the first one I heard from, so I'm really excited. It seems like a great school and DC has so many opportunities. I go to a complete city school undergrad that's huge so I'm used to that feel and don't mind 'anonymity.' Only other one I got into was Cornell so far, and I live in a climate between DC and Ithaca, and I'd really like to lean more towards a warmer climate if possible. Definitely strongly considering GULC - biggest concern is housing. Trying to find people who can afford to live in decent close-by housing in DC doesn't seem easy.

Ithac winters are brutal, trust me. It's winter from october to late april
