Well in that case, I'm back to where I started... with no idea of what's going on.

Not sure how competitive it is. I am sure it certainly is, but I sent the app in monday.

I applied and have a pretty PI heavy resume and a recommendation from the manager of the BU Community Service Center (I went to BU, managed 2 volunteer programs and founded another). Also, 2 years of Teach for America in Brooklyn. I didn't flee a war torn country or spend 10 years curing AIDs in Africa or anything like that though lol. I'm hoping it's more based on experience rather than LSAT/GPA (mine are mediocre for BU :/ )

Re: Public Service Scholarship -- I am also hoping it's based on PI experience more so than LSAT/GPA. I've done public service work in a post-conflict environment and have spent the past 4 years working for global security non profits. I hope to do international law (work for State Dept.).
I wonder how many they give out?

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
What are the perks for getting the Public Service Scholly? Or can someone just link it to me? Thanks!
ETA: Never mind, I found it!
I would love to do PI stuff but the problem is that schools like BU wouldn't give me any merit money (if accepted, of course) so choosing a PI job is very risky for me.

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
LRAP isn't really guaranteed though right? Not every year. And I don't know how well funded BU's LRAP program is. I'm just really bad with learning about the financial stuff.
Anyway, none of it really matters unless I get accepted. Please accept me, BU! <3

Also, did ANY phone calls go out this week? I just looked through the past few pages and it seems there have been no calls since last week?

Re: BU 2011 Applicants
goodluck gem. Seems like you and krad applied to almost the same set of schools as me, and it seems like BU is the one that you want most. Also way easier to cheer for you than krad since she went to my crosstown rival for undergrad...
While I would also be thrilled with a call from BU, which would invole me running to a conf room at work to answer, its starting to look like unless someone else suprises me with money or I can get off the Gtown WL, the 120K offer from Indiana is looking pretty good.
