3.9/169 OOS
No they don't tell you what the offer is. But having it mentioned on the phone almost certainly means one will be offered.

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in and good luck to those still waiting!

I asked if my numbers were out of reach for a scholarship, and it turns out they are. You must at least have a 168+ and a 3.6+

I have a 167 :-\

I'm thinking I'll retake for the December LSAT. It couldn't hurt, and it could really help.

Quick question. I took the LSAT twice. 161 and then 169. Should I do an addendum? My gpa is 3.74 and I'm in state. I've already got a status checker and am at complete. Would an addendum even help if I had nothing to say that was better than "I wasn't prepared enough the first time?" Is this gonna hurt my admission chances?

Application was denied on the 22nd here too; OOS.

Not too surprised given a few 170, 3.4x were denied, and my numbers are below those. Good luck to those who are still waiting.

It's OK. I didn't figure I'd get in, but a waitlist would have been nice. Sucks to have your #1 dream school off your slate before things even get interesting. Also intimidating know I'll never be back in the state of Texas again for anything other than a vacation.

For those with no mention of money in your call, don't fret. No mention of scholly in my voicemail, but just got the letter notifying me of Townes-Hall and Non-resident waiver!

I got the call on the 18th, complete on the 5th.

I don't post my numbers but you can take a look at my lsn link for some subtle info...its from my last cycle but nothing has changed.

No mention of scholarship in the admit phone call, but got a letter today telling me that I got the Townes Hall scholarship ($7k/year). However, no mention of the out of state tuition waiver, which means my COA would still be $150k+. :| Not sure if I'm willing to rack up that much debt for UT.

Just found out from my parents on Skype that I'm accepted!

OSS, 167 and 169, 3.8 LSDAS GPA, reg decision 11/2 applied

I'm in Korea so I can't read the acceptance packet materials. Asked them if there was any mention about financial aid and they said they didn't read it closely. Its 6:17 am and they weren't home so i want to find out so badly.

Anyways, if no financial aid is mentioned in the welcome packet -- anyone know if it comes at a later date?

Many thanks :)

It seems that scholarship info comes later in its own envelope. Neither my admit packet nor my admit phone call mentioned a scholarship award, but I just got $7k/year today in its own envelope.

This is ridiculous. I guess soft floor for GPA at UT can't be bent even for URMs.

Nay! I'm still alive at 3.4, though I'm becoming increasingly paranoid as everyone around me is shot down. Starting to think the adcomm was just hammered when he was reviewing my app. Or they just forgot to send me the rejection letter.

Eh, I don't think so. I wrote about my (near-death) experience with staph infection a couple years ago, and how it's affected my outlook and goals. It was decent, but I've definitely seen better around TLS. Otherwise, my softs are the definition of average (a few jobs, a few clubs and activities, upward grade trend). It seriously boggles my mind how I haven't been shown the door yet. But whatever, I'll take it. Texas is a hell of a school.

Damn. Sorry sophie. But you'll probably get into much better schools anyway, so don't worry.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
