W&M has to start handing out massive waitlists this week, right? I mean, how much longer can this go on? I'm ready to be rejected or waitlisted; let's just get it over with at this point!

I think it's very likely that W&M will roll out its WL this weekJustathought wrote:W&M has to start handing out massive waitlists this week, right? I mean, how much longer can this go on? I'm ready to be rejected or waitlisted; let's just get it over with at this point!

I really think so too. Few last minute acceptances last week, and its now 2 weeks past the deadline. This feels like as good a time as any.tttlllsss wrote:I think it's very likely that W&M will roll out its WL this weekJustathought wrote:W&M has to start handing out massive waitlists this week, right? *sigh* But why send so many fee waivers to people just to waitlist them?

I guess to drive down the acceptance rate by getting a bunch of people to apply?subtle wrote:*sigh* But why send so many fee waivers to people just to waitlist them?

Does anyone want to venture a guess for how the rankings will turn out for W&M tomorrow? In light of their honest and unfortunate recent employment stats, I'm guessing (randomly, of course) a drop of 5-7 spots, although I hope for the opposite.

I'm guessing the bad stats are pretty universal to last year, so I'm not thinking they'll lose that much ground.

how do we know others are not reporting similar numbers. Those numbers made me want to hurl though. huge pit in my stomach. But like i said I saw vandy's 2010 class had 43 percent private practice placement

Well, what can I say. I'm bored at work, I'm not visiting W&M for a month, so I've turned to random internet stuff.brose wrote:Um, yeah, that's pretty random.AP-375 wrote:Does anyone want to venture a guess for how the rankings will turn out for W&M tomorrow? I don't know, but if you've found a rock that shields you from people obsessing and speculating over meaningless rankings, I'd love to know where it iskjadkins wrote:I had no idea they came out tomorrow... what rock have I been living under?AP-375 wrote:Well, what can I say. Re: William & Mary 2011
lol, i didn't know they came out tmrw either. I only refresh some of the pages on this board (like the W and M thread here) - I don't particularly read/post in the other threads anymore
Guess I'll check the rankings tomorrow.
On a W and M-related note, I remember them saying that everyone would receive a decision by March 24 at the latest when we applied, soooooo, that's now 9 days away (as of tomorrow). Wonder if there will be ANY acceptances sent out in those 9 days or if it's all WL/reject..

Re: William & Mary 2011
Matters to me. That one spot rise is enough to tip the scales all by itself. Williamsburg here I come. (not serious)
But I am relieved that it didn't drop 5-7 spots, like I randomly guessed.

Re: William & Mary 2011
I'm looking for some advice...I am still at complete 2/2 on the status checker. Does W&M sent an email or notify accept/waitlist/deny on the status checker? I will be leaving my mailing address for 1.5 weeks starting 3/16, which is awfully close to the date by which W&M says most decisions will be mailed. Should I change my mailing address to my permanent address (where I will be + where my parents can check the mail daily) or would this possibly cause confusion? No one will be at my mailing address for those 1.5 weeks I'm away...

Re: William & Mary 2011
I would change the address, BUT someone here said that waitlists go out by email. . . .admissions go out by postal and are posted on status checker (even if only temporarily.)

I applied in January and haven't heard either. I called Admissions and they said decisions will probably be sent out this week or early next.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
