Wow, you didn't get in ED the 130k scholarship with a 174/3.7!??!
nopes, but then again the 174 was for the December test, and they only considered my September score which was a 165.
Oh no wonder.

This may have been answered already, but how do you find out if you have received any merit scholarships after you have been admitted? Is there something you need to fill out or is it usually included in the admissions packet?

This is me being insanely neurotic. But I'm kind of feeling like since this thread is not quite as popular as lower ranked school's threads, then the trend may be that not as many people plan on attending. Coupled with their stinginess on schollies, the high COA and COL, the school's large class, and the cycle's drop in overall applications; then maybe us WL'rs have a good shot at seeing some decent movement.

If I remember correctly, I've seen people in this thread note updates via status checker. I don't seem to have any email nor can I find any info regarding a GW status checker. Is there one? How do i access it?

Just got the waitlist email too. GW was kind of out of the question for me anyway after the WUSTL offer. Plus, I thought I was a reject with my #s and app date. Still a little disappointed though.

What was your WUSTL offer? Right now, I'm in at W&L and a bunch of tier 2's with $$ that I don't particularly care to attend. I'm still holding out for WUSTL, BC, BU, Indiana, or Vandy. I applied late and am a splitter like you. Hopefully, WUSTL shows me some love...cuz I need it.

WUSTL gave me 60k. I actually got waitlisted at W&L. I'm still waiting on BU and BC too, but my gpa is crazy low for them. Then I have apps at UIUC and Northeastern, but I've kind of eliminated them from contention at this point since I don't expect as much $$$. I expect to be in St. Louis next year. If you don't mind me asking, what are your numbers? When did you apply?

WL via e-mail. whatever...i have no desire to go to GW anyways. I really have no idea why I applied to any east coast schools. Still kinda hurts to get rejected, though (and I do consider WL rejection)

This is my 4th waitlist...oh the joys of being a splitter.

I transferred sophomore year and graduated w/ a 3.85 from my degree granting school. They didn't count my grades from pre-transfer school. My cumulative at time of transfer was in the low 2ish area I think. Made basically straight As the last 2 years of school.

Is it the general consensus that if you don't have any mention of a merit scholarship in your accpetance letter, that you're definitely not getting one? Is there any way to communicate with GW to try to ask for one, or is GW just not the type of school to do that?

I know that it says that they alot between 1,000 to 16,000 in need-based aid, but it's only a year to year status..that would kill me if I made my plans based on whatever number they gave me, and then the next year it went way down. Also - definitely don't know how I would afford GW at sticker.. :?

Nope. i've communicated with them before and they basically say that if you didn't get anything, don't expect to get anything in the future. Also, the do not match or compete with offers for peer schools. Sucks.

In via email as well! I honestly thought I had no chance at this school. I applied 1/21 and went complete 2/1.

Congrats to the other recent admits!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
