May be a common question (I committed the cardinal ( ) sin of not reading the whole thread), but what is a good amount of time to hear from Berkeley before getting worried? Ie, if UR how long before it is likely you are getting rejected or gong to CR?

if you're an auto-admit you'll hear back within 3 months, but if you're going to CR it's too late for CR1, so you probably won't hear about CR 2 until after Feb 18th. You'll hear back most likely when everyone else hears they're going to CR2

looking at LSN, I see a few cases of people being accepted and applying in January. Most were URMs, some heard in 2 weeks, others in March

Well, I mean, I am guessing an auto-admit will not be waiting until May (or anybody else for that matter), which is why I was questioning. Early submissions don't tend to set precedent for the later parts of a cycle, but I was just wonderign if anyone knew from previous years.

Yeah, we're numbers twins!!! And we together prove that non-URMS can and do get admitted quickly/in January.

last year they had a record number of applications and ended up overenrolling, so if apps are down this year (and I believe they are), Jan submitters should have a better chance (assuming less apps overall means less super-competitive apps as well)

It's 510 and I am not sure if they are still calling.
