No one can tell me about their residency??!! People are really bad about posting this on LSN and/or in their posts. Just wondering if as a late October RD person I should have anything to worry about.bdubs wrote:Are most of those RD applicants who have heard back already CA residents?

IIRC ucla doesn't follow the traditionally general 'rolling' admissions that most other schools do, i wouldn't worry if you haven't heard back.

Thanks for the reassurance, but I am still worried. WL would be useless for me.hipstermafia wrote: I applied late october, OOS, in as of sunday.

Hopefully today's the day that my "early" decision comes to me.

So for the few people who mentioned going "Under Review" at UCLA -- Does that mean something different than getting a "Complete" e-mail?
I only received two e-mails from UCLA so far: Application Received, Complete

no one knows that they've gone under review. those people are assuming. the emails you got are the only ones you get. the process has seemed pretty random to this point. there are people with better and worse numbers than myself who have gotten in, and people with better and worse numbers who are still waiting.bdubs wrote:So for the few people who mentioned going "Under Review" at UCLA -- Does that mean something different than getting a "Complete" e-mail?

+1. Not to mention the money thing being random too. I'm still neurotic about why I didn't get a scholarship offer when identical numbers did- and my softs are very strong.glitter178 wrote:no one knows that they've gone under review. those people are assuming. the emails you got are the only ones you get. the process has seemed pretty random to this point. there are people with better and worse numbers than myself who have gotten in, and people with better and worse numbers who are still waiting.bdubs wrote:So for the few people who mentioned going "Under Review" at UCLA -- Does that mean something different than getting a "Complete" e-mail?

Stop stressing r6, worst case you get YP WL'ed and have to file a LOCI.r6_philly wrote:I just want to be admitted first...Arbiter213 wrote:

I remember on the application they ask for your parents income for 2009. This may play a factor in the size of the scholarships

Trust me I am not stressing, just making the rounds. I want $$ so WL is probably not going to help.Arbiter213 wrote:Stop stressing r6, worst case you get YP WL'ed and have to file a LOCI.r6_philly wrote:I just want to be admitted first...Arbiter213 wrote:

Does UCLA have an admitted students site? If so, where and how does one log in?
Thx.

Re: UCLA? 2011
under the "prospective students" tab theres a link to the admitted students section. you need to accept the admission and obtain an email address/username to log in though.forward21 wrote:Does UCLA have an admitted students site? If so, where and how does one log in?

I've been a lurker for months and finally gave in. I applied ED submitted on Nov 15. Went complete on Nov 18. Haven't heard anything yet. Waiting sucks.

ED people,
Pretend you will get your admission status on Dec 31 and not a day before.
Spend the next 20+ days planning your New Year's Eve celebration/sorrow-fest.
Enjoy.
Ok I know, easier said than done.

me too, minus the conan. but i guess what is sort of worrying me is that there have not yet been any reported dings or WLs, when by this time last year there had been plenty.Redsgomarchingon wrote:I spend my days hitting refresh and watching conan o'brien...

Re: UCLA? 2011
Just to get a sense of the ED pool, what your numbers?(if you don't mind telling of us course) Mine are 3.7/166. Do I have a chance?
I know there have been two ED acceptance on LSN. They seemed to have submitted early (Oct). and they both have at least one stat at or around the 75th, which worries me cause both of mine are below UCLA's medians I'm scarrrrrred.
for the record they had:
169/3.45 (complete 11/02/10)
165/3.82 (complete 10/13/10)
Last year's class:
25th 50th 75th
GPA: 3.56 3.77 3.87
LSAT: 165 168 170
*I'm sure most people on here know the info above, but I figured it would be convenient to list it.
