I just don't understand how they can accept 4.2 indexes but hold people like tk and the other 4.5-6 people. lol This is soooooo strange.

It only seems strange if you assume it's pretty much all about numbers. If you even allow that it really is (like a lot of admissions departments say) 1/3 LSAT, 1/3 GPA, 1/3 essays, softs, etc., then it's not so strange.

I don't know if it's appropriate... it says transcripts, but doesn't leave it open to something like "other things for the committee to consider" or anything... ugh. I probably will.

Since it's been going for hours, it indicates to me that there are a couple thousand of these going out. What do you wager? Maybe 2/3 of all who've applied? Ha.

They are putting EVERYONE on ice until they receive more apps by 2/15. Because of a huge drop in applications.

This, along with our pool's slightly less impressive numbers relative to the past cycles. They're beginning to freak out about medians falling.

it depends on the date of completion - if i could figure out the latest date that someone was completed, and was also held, this would help, but i know its hard to figure that out.

Maybe they reviewed applications and made decisions BEFORE they realized how crappy this pool (ahem, present company excluded) is.

What, are they going to turn around a re-review the 3000 applications they already went through?

Confused here too... Held with a 4.3 (average) or 4.5 (taking just the highest--which I was under the impression they did for a 7 point increase).
