Harvard Waitlist poll
There's been some debate over which Harvard Waitlistees are less screwed: those with or without JR1s. I know that "Hold" could also add an additional wrinkle, but let's just stick the the WL and vote whether it's better to be on it with or without a JR1.

Oh shit I'm not on a WL, I was held, and I accidently voted for no JR1 option... I retract it.

I changed the poll to let you re-vote. Change away!Ragged wrote:Oh shit I'm not on a WL, I was held, and I accidently voted for no JR1 option... I retract it.

Re: Harvard Waitlist poll
Worth noting, in the Held by Harvard thread, a user mentions being rejected in spite of a JR1. I had sort of been thinking that when pulling marginal candidates HLS would start with JR1s and work through them before moving on to non-JR1s, but this event seems to somewhat invalidate my theory and give more hope to non-JR1s. While this applicant had not been placed on the WL, what do you think this implies about the existence of a WL hierarchy with JR1s atop non-JR1s?
