Way to go!scf wrote:Got in off the waitlist a couple days ago
Anybody have an idea how many (ballpark) have been offered admission off the WL since they started making offers? I heard that it has been a slow, gradual process.

Re: UCLA Waitlist
I wonder how many of us are on this list and on this thread...
I wonder whether UCLA is over-enrolled the way UVA and W&M both are. I have a feeling we will see some WL movement at UCLA this week. Good luck all!

I got in off the waitlist recently, so I don't think they're completely at capacity.

Left my phone at home and had a voice message from Dean Schwartz waiting for me. He asked me to call back. Does this mean what I hope it does?

Btw, what a cop-out move by LeBron. Looking forward to Lakers - Heat and a Lakers threepeat.

WOW!!! Congrats! I would love to get that call.ajauffret wrote:Just got the call from Robert Schwartz ... ACCEPTED OFF THE WAITLIST!!!... now the difficult decision... change to UCLA or stay at USC??? thoughts???
I am visiting LA today to pick out an apartment for USC. In the back of my mind, I was hoping I would get a call from Dean Schwartz yesterday, so I could be picking out apts near UCLA instead.
Go to UCLA.

Re: UCLA Waitlist
Congrats! In a way, I'm glad I don't have to make that choice. Still waitlisted at USC. I was anticipating getting into USC and getting dinged at UCLA. Go figure.ajauffret wrote:Just got the call from Robert Schwartz ... ACCEPTED OFF THE WAITLIST!!!... now the difficult decision... change to UCLA or stay at USC??? thoughts???

Re: UCLA Waitlist
So, LSN says that two waitlisters have been offered a seat this cycle. I'm guessing maybe 10 absolute tops have been offered a seat from all UCLA applicants. Does anybody know what the real number is? I think UCLA is overenrolled.
163/3.84, so I have maybe only a 15% chance of admission anyway.

Re: UCLA Waitlist
To those who are still waiting, I don't think UCLA is overenrolled because they are (albeit slowly) accepting people from the WL. However, the people being pulled from the WL seem to be YP->WL applicants with high LSATs, and, surprisingly decent GPAs. They must have been offered weak money at higher ranked schools or something.

Re: UCLA Waitlist
Someone should be getting a call from Dean Schwartz very soon... I just turned down my offer of admission from the waitlist...I decided staying committed at USC was the best choice for me.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
