Just got my status checker (which doesn't work), says their adcomm will meet for the first time next week.
I'm foaming at the mouth in anticipation..

I just got this email, too - I applied in early November but I remember reading that they didn't start looking at apps until mid-January. Oh well, here goes!

Am I doing something wrong? The email gives a login of "0" and lists a password. I went to the status check and typed the info in, but it won't let me on. Am I missing something?

use the assigned password with the username you use for all your other status checkers. it'll work.

---however, it doesn't say anything worthwhile yet.

Nope, they screwed up the script sending out the login information for the status checker. I got the same thing.

I used the same username that every other school has given me. Although, some schools capitalized the 3rd letter in my username and others didn't, so if that's the case try both usernames. I used that and the password that UConn gave me and it worked.

I'm definitely excited about UConn. Does anybody know what the process of getting in-state tuition is like for out-of-staters? For 2L I mean...

Got the e-mail too, but I just applied in January. I'm guessing it will be a long wait for me to hear back, since they are just now beginning the process.

Out-of-state UConn 1L here. Below is a link to the section of the school's website that talks about residency requirements. Basically, you need to live in CT, get a CT driver's license/registration, register to vote, and be independent (not receive more that $1,200 in support from parents). That last part caused problems for some people who had been given a car by their parents. I think they had to arrange to purchase the car from their parents for its actual value. There is a meeting about it each September that gives the new class more info. Applications for in-state status are due June 1 (after your 1L year).
