Dear UTX,
As much as I really wanted to move home and eat Chuy's and drink Texpresso and lunch with my mom, I'll always be a Texas Aggie. Also, I didn't really want to go to your law school. I'd rather go to a real t14.

I'd rather not have my school mascot be synonymous with a brand of condoms.

Dear UT,
I don't care that I was denied by you today. In fact, I am quite sick of watching TV everyday and seeing advertisements for that damn Longhorn Network. If I have to see one more commercial advertising UT women's lacrosse or any other UT related sport I think I will jump off a cliff, or get stuck in Austin traffic-same fate.
Thanks, but not thanks,
UNTravis

To my dearest Alma Mater Northwestern,
You will be removing me from your wait list expeditiously if you would like to continue receiving my annual "alumni gift". Indeed - I requested that last year's gift go directly to the Law School/Center for Wrongful Convictions. Maybe the center can use some of those funds to research this wrongful decision and bring me justice. Until then, I'll find solace in the wise words of another notable alum, "'Hey, single malt scotch, you're thirty years old. When are you going to settle down and get married to my stomach?'" - Stephen Colbert.
Sadness

Not to start a riot - but this post doesn't fit in this thread. Most other people on this board aren't hoping to buy their way into the law school of their choice or at least it doesn't seem that way.kmh504 wrote:To my dearest Alma Mater Northwestern,

I do have to say though, Colbert's advice is good. Scotch makes everything better.JoeMo wrote:Not to start a riot - but this post doesn't fit in this thread. Dear GW,
Thank you for all of the warm regard you've sent my way. After Indian giving a fee waiver and then waitlisting me, I love you too. I hope you don't treat all of your 75% applicants like this.
Sincerely,
I never liked you anyway

Re: THE DING BAR
Dear Lewis and Clark,
Thank you for denying me weeks ago (via status checker, no snail mail), and then sending me not one, but TWO huge envelopes in the mail today. Perhaps they made a mistake, I thought. Maybe there will be an acceptance letter inside, I wished.
My hopes were akin to your tuition price: fucking ridiculous.
It was in fact not an admittance, but TWO "practical skills" booklets, highlighting the crappy prospective futures of your students. "The opportunities are numerous" indeed. I hope that your lawyer-ing skills are better than your basic mailing ones.
I should really say thank you for saving me from Portland. Hipsters are bad enough, but I think seeing hipster law students would make my eyes melt.
Thanks again,
Prospecta

When I got your email today, I was thrilled. And then I read it. While I would love to wait until late-April/early-May for you to determine how many admitted students have told you to piss off so you could take a second look at my application, I've got to make a decision. So, while your incessant emails and admission-sized envelops have been exhilarating, I must move on. Further, my wife is not convinced that the dream of the 90's is alive in Portland.
Good luck on future endeavors.
