For those of you who are post 911 military vets (like me) I've tried to do some calculations. Please double check my information for me and for yourself. I am not a reliable mathematician.
Tuition=40,000 out of state minus 13,393.92 maximum GI Bill payment= 26,606.08
Fees 3,425 minus (max) 5,126.00 = 0
Books 1,838 minus GI Bill reimbursement 1,000= 838
R+B 11,512 minus E5 with Dependents BAH x 9 months 10,692 = 820
other cost est. 2,898
Total = 31,162.08

There is also 25 Yellow ribbon scholarships available. I would imagine that is enough to cover every vet in the program but I am not sure. School pays 13,784 and VA matches for a total of 27,568.
Total estimated cost with Yellow Ribbon = $4,216.08 per year

Sorry, I just found out that the 13,000+ Yellow Ribbon Money is for undergraduates not law students. If anyone has any info on what is available for law students please post it here.

I have to say that I hope I am able to attend UIUC if for no other reason than the amount of care the admissions office takes in informing applicants of the process. I know many have said it already, but it is so nice knowing when my application will be reviewed and when a decision will be rendered. It sets a wonderful tone for the first interactions most will have with the law school they will attend for the next three years. Thank you Dean Pless.

Not counting offers going out today, we have admitted 756 people. Classes don't begin until August, so we don't have any matriculants yet. Our deposit deadline isn't until April 30th, but we have around 40 deposits so far.

Thanks, I more or less meant the seat deposits. It good to know I still have a chance, even with my late application.

Excited for my decision this afternoon! Good luck to everyone else in review! Thanks to Dean Pless for being so open about the admissions process, Illinois definitely has the best admissions process of any school I applied to. And I'll think that even if I don't get in.

My File was complete on 2/4 -- is it realistic to assume an answer by 3/4. I am holding out on another acceptance but I cut it kind of close to apply so late.

That is the status until we check the wait list survey and see what your preference is. At times it can take a few days for the results of the survey to show up in the status checker.
