Re: Michigan c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
My application was received near the end of January and I got a letter saying that Michigan received my initial application materials. Odds that I have totally screwed myself by waiting this long in the cycle to apply?

Michigan. This week, this week especially, I could really use something good in my life. That's your cue.

+1. All I need is like a status checker and I'll be good for a while...franklyscarlet wrote:Michigan. This week, this week especially, I could really use something good in my life. That's your cue.

My dear, your stats are beautiful, especially for a URM. I don't think that you're screwed at all.Geneva wrote:My application was received near the end of January and I got a letter saying that Michigan received my initial application materials. Oooh, that's a good one Camp.
I'll give up this, and really, is there more?

This is also what I will feel like with a Mich acceptance packet in hand, fwiw.

Edit: Real talk though, this class seems like it's going to be really down. I'd be ecstatic to be apart of this. Had the same sentiment about my undergrad experience and it turned out to be phenomenal.

But crits aren't EURO! Good to see I'm not the only one who might be checking out cycling teams at their prospective schools. Also, SRAM > all.Campagnolo wrote:Dear Dean Z,

Considering how people a month after me have already gotten a decision, I'm feeling a WL waiting for me one of these days.

Gross, I just ate.thelong wrote: You know I <3.
Seriously though, I can't stand the stuff. I've had it a couple of times while hanging out with my great-grandpa in Augusta. It tasted like what I imagine the liquid in the bottom of the trashcan when you take the bag out must taste like. I don't even know.
BBQ, on the other hand is TCR. That was always the reason we detoured through Alabama on the way through to Georgia or Florida.

I've become convinced that my Complete status will remain that way until after I graduate law school.

This is my numero uno school, though due to LORs I only just submitted my application in mid January. Still haven't received my status checker email. They say it takes about 3 weeks to get that. It's been a little longer is that normal?

I submitted 12/5 and didn't get my status checker until 1/4. The delay might have had something to do with Christmas, but I wouldn't panic yet.Tobacco Road wrote:This is my numero uno school, though due to LORs I only just submitted my application in mid January. I didn't get a letter or an email (one of the only schools that didn't send me something from NASA), but I can't imagine it would hurt to follow up and get your name seen, even just a little bit more.camillefisch wrote:decemberstar82 wrote:I completely gave up on checking statuschecker, due to lack of movement, but.... in with a letter today! I submitted my app 12/22 and it was complete 1/26. I didn't write any additional essays and I didn't have any sort of interview- this is a total shock!
Question: Did you get a letter from the Native American Student Association? I did a while ago, and I'm not sure if I should follow up. Maybe it would look good?

Might be relevant:
“Yes, we at Michigan have seen an (economic) effect, as one would expect — I don’t know of any of our peers that haven’t — although our decline is, happily, smaller than the overall national average,” Zearfoss wrote. “Our application deadline is not for another couple of weeks, but I would estimate that our pool will be about 5% smaller this year than last.”
