Re: Georgetown C/O 2022 ('18-'19 Cycle)
I’m having second thoughts as to when I actually went complete. Is there a way to determine this? It is blank on my status check page. Thanks!

Went complete 11/14, got invited to group interview with Dean Cornblatt for 11/28 on 11/16
a little nervous because I'll be out of town for the holidays for so can't make interview but invite says that my non-attendance won't hurt acceptance
Any thoughts?

I'm in the same boat except I got invited 11/19 for a group interview 11/23! I'm hoping it won't make a difference because it seems like it would be a little unfair to hold it against us, especially for an interview the day after Thanksgiving with 4 days notice...thelittlestsoldier wrote:Went complete 11/14, got invited to group interview with Dean Cornblatt for 11/28 on 11/16

I was invited to interview 10/26 for 11/5 and couldn't make it. Yesterday I got another invitation for an interview next week. So you could get a second invitation for an interview!wolfie101 wrote:I'm in the same boat except I got invited 11/19 for a group interview 11/23! Applied 15SEP, received this message, "Thank you for applying to the Juris Doctor program at Georgetown University Law Center. Although the record you present is a strong one, the Committee on Admissions has chosen to postpone your final decision.
Each year, a large number of candidates submit applications to Georgetown Law early in the process. The high quality of this group makes the Committee's decisions extremely difficult. Please be aware that only a small number of early applicants have their applications held, and a number of those applicants in past years have subsequently been admitted."
Not really sure what to make of it.

The group interview was fun but knowing that you’re being judged on your demeanor is nerve wracking. I’d love to know what exactly they’re looking for.

I submitted on 11/7 and received my acceptance 11/26. My requirements list hasn't updated yet though, did that more than a week for anyone?

Has anyone heard back that applied Regular Decision or is it primarily ED's getting the interviews and decision notifications?

Preferred waitlisted 12/14
“...Thank you for applying to Georgetown University Law Center through the Early Decision Program. The Committee on Admissions has reviewed your application and has placed your name on our Preferred Waiting List.
Each year, a large number of candidates submit Early Decision applications to Georgetown Law. By the end of this year's admissions process we will likely have received more than 900 Early Decision applications. The high quality of this group makes the Committee's decisions extremely difficult.
Applicants on the Preferred Waiting List are among those we would like to include in our first year class. These applicants have the strongest credentials of all waiting list candidates and, as a result, receive priority consideration if spaces become available...”

Any word back from those who group interviewed in mid-late November? The dean said he’d (hopefully) get back to us by Christmas..

I received this email too. It’s a “hold”, which means GULC will review our applications again after they receive more applications later in the cycle. Then they’ll make a decision as to whether we’re officially accepted, waitlisted, or rejected. It’s better than being rejected outright, and might be slightly better than being put on the waitlist since there’s still some possibility of an acceptance.Acard50 wrote:Applied 15SEP, received this message, "Thank you for applying to the Juris Doctor program at Georgetown University Law Center. Is a deferral from ED to RD different than the PWL?bigoil69 wrote:I received this email too. In!! Super stoked. I applied in mid October, group interviewed in mid November. They sent me a letter dated December 17, mailed out on the 19th. Letter received today. No e-mail. No call. Not sure what my status checker looks like, I checked it a few days before Xmas and didn’t notice any changes.

SPWL as of 11/9. Haven’t sent a formal LOCI yet but will soon.
SPWL as of 11/30. Obviously disappointed, but heading to D.C. this weekend to try to learn more. Can update.
