Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I got that email in the promotion folder LOL
It was lucky that I found it after I checked this thread.
Otherwise, I would have felt miserable after finding it was an error.

I received an email confirming that they received/processed my withdraw request this morning. Received this email 3 hours later.
Wonder what would happen if I RSVP?

Yeah this is why TLS is good. It lets me known when I should check my promotions folder because so much stuff goes directly there.yhchoi1687 wrote:I got that email in the promotion folder LOL

Sybill also just got the email.
As you know this is very difficult for me to process and I'm v upset rn.
And I'm a woman from the NYC area so it wasn't apparent that it was wrong.

It also just really pisses me off that they're sending out specific admitted student shit already, it makes me think there really won't be any more acceptances.

That might not necessarily be true, I've been getting emails about various events (including two previously about this specific one) over the course of the past two months, before plenty of other admits happened. Idk what it means at this point though.SybillAnnDorsett wrote:. . . it makes me think there really won't be any more acceptances.

Just got it. If it were at all possible for me to go to NYC on thursday, I would be buying plane tickets already just to show NYU how badly I want them to love me.

I got the email as well. My heart fell into my ass. Then, I came
On TLS and realized it was probably an error.
UR1 02/16
UR2 04/03 (today)
I don't even know what this means.

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
So I hadn't gone on TLS and didn't know it was fake, but given they accidentally fake notified me through a similarly weird email last year (but that was unique to me and didn't hit everyone) I didn't believe it was true, and when I called in and tried to get through and the system hung up on me multiple times I figured it was fake.Shakawkaw wrote:+1Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Motion for all of us to RSVP to the event....

I genuinely think I'm withdrawing my application. I do not have the patience or desire to go thru 3 years of this and the chances of me picking it over Penn at this point (where I only had lovely positive interactions w admin) is almost nonexistent. It's not even the fucked up email - it's the lack of apology or clarification, plus them not answering their phones. you could literally change your outbox, but they're trying to protect their reputation. I think it's just really rude and disrespectful.

So true...even though I obviously go on this site every day, my first instinct was not to go on TLS when I got the email...lawlzschool wrote:but like literally... imagine all the non tls'ers calling their parents/friends/family... Okay, so y'all DID get that email as well? I was literally about to come in here and complain about getting an admitted student invite when I got rejected at least a month ago. Luckily, I'm not too torn up about the rejection at this point or that stupid ass email would be salt in a fresh wound lol.
