I think you're joking, but if you call they will tell you if you are actually currently being reviewed or still being held.Chalupa-Batman wrote:I wonder if my application 's been submitted for review. Do you guys know any way of finding that information?

I think I'd rather not know.love4life29 wrote:I think you're joking, but if you call they will tell you if you are actually currently being reviewed or still being held.Chalupa-Batman wrote:I wonder if my application 's been submitted for review. I wish some of you guys in this thread could have been at ASW instead of all the hardcore east coasters who seemed to only be there for the free trip to California. I've never heard the names "Harvard" and "Yale" spoken so many times in one weekend. I now understand why Stanford's yield rate is relatively low - a lot of the people who get in just aren't that into it. (For the record, I went into ASW already committed to SLS and left feeling like there couldn't possibly be a better place to study law.)

As an east coaster whose first choice is SLS, this makes me sadgma221 wrote:I wish some of you guys in this thread could have been at ASW instead of all the hardcore east coasters who seemed to only be there for the free trip to California. yeah,Chalupa-Batman wrote:I wonder if my application 's been submitted for review. Do you guys know any way of finding that information?
a) google "stanford law status checker" cause you can't find the login info in your inbox and you sure as shit dont' remember your username and password
b) try to select some sort of "forgot username option"
c) find that there is none
d) go to TLS and search what other ppl did in this situation
e) find out that your username is the same one harvard gave you
f) find that old message with a search of your email inbox.
g) go back to aforementioned googled stanford status checker
h) put in username and "forgot password."
i) get error messages suggesting that you don't exist
j) panic
k) do some more TLS searches
l) find out that the default page it takes you to when you google stanford law status checker is for their LLM, cause that makes sense
m) find the right one
n) put in your username
o) get new password
p) sign in
q) find out your application has been submitted for review
it's a simple seventeen-step process.

Someone bumped the 2016 thread and I noticed there was 10+ more pages, and I got excited that something actually happened....oh well. Maybe tomorrow.

that's a bit overdramatic, I'd settle for a persistent vegetative state until the whole law school cartel edifice comes crashing down

I would think this has more to do with Stanford's relative reluctance to waive that application fee

Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
Some educated predictions for today based on the collective wisdom of the thread and the information we have been able to gather:
- there will be lots of movement from Stanford today or else there will be no movement
- this is based on the fact that the number of remaining acceptances ranges from a moderate number to none
- the waitlist will be released today or it will not
- this process has been disappointing but fair or it has been unfair to applicants.
How'd I do ?

Yep, Chalupa-Batman, you'll make a fine attorney. You can argue either side with equal indignance and no trace of shame. Some educated predictions for today based on the collective wisdom of the thread and the information we have been able to gather:
