I am also going to be graduating from UC Santa Cruz (Legal Studies). You should check out the pre-law group that I am involved in at ucscpad.org, and think about how adding extracurricular and leadership experience will cherry out your application! Plus, if in the unfortunate event you get waitlisted, you'll have something to write in your update letter other than "I really want to go to Santa Clara!" Hope to see you at a meeting or something!

Applied EA end of september, still waiting on them. They havent updated the status checker since October 7th.

Its ok, Oklahoma, I applied EA on 9/1 and the last time they updated my status checker was 9/2. I did get an email this week that my application is under review, but I have given up on the status checker being able to tell me anything. Good luck!

I went "in committee" last night. Hopefully it's a quick turnaround. Would have to do a major life readjustment to attend SCU, but the hassle would be worth it!

ugh, I got my app in on the Nov. 1 deadline for ED, but my status checkers still says "pending LSDAS report". Grrrr. (I'm just super impatient. Waiting is the hardest!)

just got the email saying that all ED applicants are being reviewed first and a limited number of regular admits will be reviewed by December 22nd.

Received snail mail today reaffirming deferral from EA to regular admissions. The way they worded it is like a rejection "I am sorry to inform you that you were not admitted to SCU Law.....under the EA program." Stated they would re-review my file in January and to expect a decision by late spring.

Reject me once...shame on you. Reject me twice...

So I just checked my status checker and it still says in committee on 11/8, but under mailing date it says decision letter sent 11/10. Does anyone know if this will be an email (I'm guessing no because I haven't received it yet), but if anybody from last cycle can tell me I would appreciate it. Just for context I applied 10/13 and went complete 10/27. Thanks.
