~1/3th the class will be filled after Feb from applicants applying before Jan1st if LSN is an accurate depiction.

I'm interested to see if H will keep their giant class size or keep their medians. I feel like they can't do both this cycle.

I don't think that Harvard will have a hard time maintaining their medians or classes size simply because, well, it is Harvard. They pass up a lot of good candidates every year (not everyone who receives a JS1 gets a JS2, for example); if they were to accept more of these people, they would be able to keep up both their large class size and the high-standard numbers that accompany it.

But isn't this the lowest # of applicants in a long time? Those JS1s haven't been outright rejected, so while they may be in limbo, it seems like H could be holding them until they have a more complete picture with the Dec test takers. They could be going OH SH- in a momth or so when they see the whole pool.

We just keep hearing about the really high-scoring LSAT takers diminishing and/or not applying, and T3/T6 has a lot of seats (H and NYU).


This also brings me back to the question I always ponder, which is where are all the other LS applicants and why aren't they on TLS.

How many total apps is the 1250 number based on? 7000, 1250 invited to interview?

Well last year there were 5,438 apps. Given the data we have for this cycle (LSATs administered, total number of applicants so far), it would be unlikely that the number of apps increased.

H will keep their class size due to the structural costs they have that aren't flexible.

New interview slots were added today for any, like me, who were waiting for that to happen.

you'll have to let us know if these seem to fill up pretty quickly (which I'd take to mean there weren't many more new slots than JS1s waiting) or not... if the latter I will tell myself it means a new wave of JS1s is coming soon!
