No call, but I'm not stressing about it, unless there's been some terrible mix up I'm taking ASW at its word that I'm in. It's after 5 so I doubt they'll call tonight.

Me. My numbers are so borderline that even with ASW I'm nervous until I get a call or a purple envelope.

If there are any lurkers out there--or anyone else--who got the alumni call, please PM me. I had no updates today from UR 11/7 despite the fact that they called my mom last Tuesday, and my mom already went ahead and told my whole family that I got into NYU. I'm terrified that I might need to issue a mortifying retraction.

I can log into the ASW, but no call here either, and borderline GPA (17x LSAT). So nervous! I'm abroad so I don't even know if they WOULD call.

I told my family that I'm 80% sure I'm in, but that percentage goes down the more I think it over. Blahhh.

+1 if you can log into the ADMITTED STUDENTS website it means that you ARE an ADMITTED STUDENT.

Yeah. So many people on TLS are neurotic to the max. I’m scared for how some people will behave once we’re actually IN law school. Exams? OCIs? Let’s learn to control our stress now before it gets worse.

Did your mom get the call on her cell phone? If so, she can verify that it was an NYU Law phone number. If it was, then I'd relax and assume that there is no particular method to their order of notifications. Because you got an early call it suggests that you were in a separate pile. Fingers crossed for you.

i've learned to control my stress by focusing on other things intensively..in my case, gambling. This is part of the reason why I also need to go into biglaw to make money....

Haha. You're right. I just can't imagine how crushed I'll feel if it turns out I am not accepted after all-- better not to get my hopes up until I'm 100% sure.

She got the news in a voicemail from a staffer in the alumni office who gave his return number. I checked it out and it's legitimate--that person does work there, and it was his number that called my mom. Yes, I am that paranoid
