Let the games begin...
Please everybody check in with your WL title (special, preferred, regular), length you're willing to wait, etc.

Re: Georgetown Waitlist 2014
I'm a preferred WLer. Pretty sure I can wait until July before my girlfriend starts to think about leaving me on account of the uncertainty of our future

I'm just a regular, run of the mill waitlister. GW may well end up being my back up plan, so I can probably wait pretty much up until the day school starts...

Preferred WL. Based on last year's thread, it looks like we'll have a decent sense of whether or not we're getting in by end of June. At this point if I get in, I'm going.

From last year's waitlist thread:NoDayButToday wrote:Regular. Aka the "Second Banana" list.
Historically, has anyone heard about WL before May that we know of?

So it's possible, but most movement comes in May/June/somewhat July. August slows a trickle.skprowler wrote:Just got the letter (not email) accepting me off the waitlist. Good luck to you guys that are still waiting. . .

Yeah- after reading the waitlist thread from last year, I was actually encouraged by how many people they took from the waitlist (mostly special preferred and preferred, but definitely some from the regular waitlist too). Starts in April, and seems to closely mirror their deposit deadlines.KanyeShrug wrote:From last year's waitlist thread:NoDayButToday wrote:Regular. Aka the "Second Banana" list.

Re: Georgetown Waitlist 2014
Any ideas on whether to send a LOCI now or wait until closer to deposit dates?

Re: Georgetown Waitlist 2014
I'm hoping to have mine out by next week. Last year, some people wrote and sent the next week while others waited until around deposit time. As far as I can tell, there isn't a discrepancy between one strategy working over the other.ChicagoDawg wrote:Any ideas on whether to send a LOCI now or wait until closer to deposit dates?

Another regular in here. Hopefully given the applicant pool this year, we'll get a better shot at admission! Anyone know the likelihood of getting on regular vs preferred?

Regular WL. I'll be sticking it out until the end just because I spent the money so I'll just let things run their course, but with a 3.8 160 I'm just planning on finding a job and retaking instead of going to GULC at sticker.

I sent mine in yesterday by email and they sent confirmation today. Pretty quick turnaround. Good to know they're keeping up with us lowly WLers lol.samoby wrote:How did you send in your LOCI? I just did it through snail mail. I heard somewhere that having a physical copy of the letter stands out more so I opted for that option.samoby wrote:How did you send in your LOCI? I think you're good. Wait a month or so for more communication, unless something extraordinary happens in the meantime.

Regular waitlist, Feb 21
The email did not suggest submitting additional information. Should I consider a LOCI or another LOR? Thank you!
