Since a lot of people have been posting lately about LSAT Proctor DVDs, I thought I'd ask if there's interest in having me create an LSAT proctor (not in any way affiliated with the capital 'P' ones) mp3 or video file that would do basically the same thing.

I've got the film-editing software, and I can throw in some coughs, sneezes, pencils dropping, etc. Then I could post it on YouTube (if they let me upload a video that long) or just host it on the LSP website. I can also create multiple files so that the "random" sounds don't always occur at the same time.

Of course, the file would be free, and you'd be free to download it or burn it to a CD/DVD for your own personal use. I just don't want to waste my time creating it if nobody is interested.

That is the best idea I've heard in a while. I'm sure there'd be a ton of interest.

If YouTube won't let you host one that long, there's always Google Video.

That woud be a really nice thing for you to do, that other DVD sounds like a huge ripoff for what it is.

Hell yeah. If you can do it for a full five sections, then I'd use it. As long as it's true to real conditions.

How many seconds do people get between sections (not the break)? 10 seconds? 30? A minute?

I'll assume you meant "how many SECONDS"

Anywhere from 3 seconds to 30 seconds. Depends on the proctors.

I would absolutely love this. I was so used to practicing before in my completely quiet home that getting to the test was so noisy! I swear the girl next to me highlighted the ENTIRE reading comp section and it was really distracting! Would love to be better prepped for quiet noise this time. If its not done before Dec, I am sure MANY in the future will benefit from and appreciate it.

Yep (finals are coming up soon, and I need to start doing stuff to find a job for 1L summer).

I'll try and make the video this weekend. If any of you have taken the test before and know the official wording of the proctors, please post in this thread (it's been too long ago for me, and I block out traumatizing memories). Otherwise, I'll use synonyms.

Video will be:
- five 35-minute sections; for those who don't want to start another test, there will be a warning to stop after Section 4
- replete with various audio distractions
- five-minute warning for each section
- 5- to 30-second break between sections for Section 1-3, 4-5. 10 or 15-minute break between Sections 3 and 4.

For a watch to use when practicing/for the test, I'd use this $11 Casio watch: http://www.amazon.com/Casio-Analog-Brac ... 034&sr=8-2

This is great news. I can see myself now with the headphones on, being serenaded by coughing and tapping. Thank you for doing this!
