LR by type drilling... Stuck on difficulty 4 Forum

I've been drilling LR with the Cambridge bundle in the past month.

Until now, I think I can perfectly cope with the easier ones, Difficulty 1 and 2, and even 3. However, once it comes to Difficulty 4, I start missing a lot of question, almost 40% of them.

Now the way I cope with this problem is taking a notepad and write down the exact reason why each answer choice is right/wrong. Dunno whether it's a helpful technique? Just started for a week so can't tell whether I can improve through this process, but one thing is certain: it's totally time-consuming, and it takes the entire afternoon to review just one type.

I haven't started taking PTs yet, but I'll do that from August. And also not sure if by taking PT after PT things will improve.
