When/how to study before prep class begins???

Post by Consigliere3 » Sun Jun 21, 2015 3:29 pm

Hi
I plan on taking a prep class for the October LSAT.

The prep class doesn't start until late July , (approx a month from now)

What and how do you recommend I spend this time studying/preparing?

Newbie here, so please help me out.

Any books or materials to buy/not to buy?

Websites to look into/which ones to avoid?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I never took a prep course so I can't really speak to the efficacy of them... BUT, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get the LG/LR Bibles (or equivalent) and just understand the framework of what's going on... If you started working through them pretty efficiently, then the course might help you understand your weaknesses from new angles.

Thanks for the reply.
Do you mean the power scores bible? Or the Cambridge packets? Or both? Or something else?
Trying to do some research online as to what to buy , how to prep in the month before the prep course starts, but getting more confused.

Thank you

I signed up for a testmasters class once, but I started studying on my own 2 months before hand. By the time the class was going to start, I realized it was absolutely unnecessary and I would be disadvantaged taking a class, I didn't want to waste time with other students who were just starting out so I just dropped the class and got my refund. the lsat is really self-teachable using the powerscore books and cambridge packets for drilling. There's alot of great stuff on TLS too (pithypike's, tls1776 guides)
