Score: 173

LR1: -4
LG: -3
RC: -1
LR2: -2

Still lots work to do, and that -3 on LG irks me but overall I'm pretty happy. I'm taking the rest of the day off and drinking a few beers.

ETA: I also drank way less coffee this morning than usual, so maybe that was a problem in the past.
Whoa. Nice going. To break the 170 mark with a 173 is special.

What's also special is that curve. Man. Must've been a tough test.

Finished PT 39, got a 164 and BR 172.

LG -7, BR -0
RC -4, BR -2
LR -12, BR -8

Only my 3rd timed PT, which have been 151 ( PT 52 first timed pt, totally bombed it and didn't finish), 159 ( PT40 also didn't finish), 164 (PT 39 guessed on an entire game then went -0 on BR).

My scores have been really erratic up till now since Ive taken too few PTs to get a sense of where I'm actually at. Feels like I MIGHT get around a 170 in October if I study hard.

What do you guys think? :(

Certainly possible...make sure you're studying your weak points

I have only read the LGB and RCB up till now. Halfway through the Trainer atm then going to do the LRB and do like 30 timed PTs before October.

-13 curve. RC felt hard, LG felt harder than usual, but nothing terrible. I am terrible at gauging how hard LR sections are so no idea on those sections.

That's a pretty good place to be. I'd be drilling timed LG sections to work on timing issues, and just drilling LR question sets. I'd still kill for that RC.

Nice work!

I'm guessing the answer is no, but are there any "advanced" LSAT resources, like books intended to take one from 170ish to 175+?

I don't know of any. Is LG still just holding you back?

And plz change the poll.

Yeah I mean the real answer is that I need to just buckle down and drill games for an hour every day, but I'd prefer to read a prep book instead of actually doing questions :P

What do people want for the poll?

Don't know, but what a nice problem to have. At this point I thought it was all about finding any little weakness you may have.

I just tried to make LG fun and eventually I got better at them. But your goals and abilities are far different then mine. I've been day drinking so this might not make sense, but the logic is much easier for me in the formal way LG asks. In LR I can almost always see the flaw but translating it back into English is where I slip up and fall for the trap answer choice. I know you intuitively understand the logic (which is why you're great at LR) but maybe understanding it more formally will help with LG where the logic is much more stripped down and formulaic. I'm probably way off here though, and drilling the hell out of LG is probably your best bet.

New poll: Where are you currently PTing at?

Why does my weak section have to be the one with two sections that are credited towards your score? I envy those that kill it on LR but suffer a bit on LG or RC.

I've noticed that I've missed a decent amount of odd ball LR questions by not reading the stem carefully. Approached a question as a disagree question when it was an agree question the other day. Also made a painfully stupid mistake on a MP question during today's PT (it was the 2nd question of the section which makes me feels especially stupid).

Took PT 60 today and got 177 (my personal best!) I ran out of time on the last game - hence the minus two. I will review tomorrow after work.

LR1 -0
LG -2
LR2 -1
RC -1
