Test Day

Post by whereskyle » Tue Sep 25, 2012 6:00 am

Hey there, I'm wondering about the delay between sections on test day. Do the sections proceed continuously, ten second break, thirty second break? What's the deal? Thanks, all.

Pretty much...

"Please stop writing and put your pencils down."

followed almost instantaneously by....

"Now turn the page to the next section blah blah blah"

Yea it's basically different depending on the proctor. Im retaking and my first time the proctor literally started the test while people were still filling in scantron info and started each section right after the other.

I had maybe 10 seconds between sections but I think it depends on the proctor. They split us up into groups when I got there and when we finished some people were still taking the test. I'm not sure if that's because they took longer to fill out their name and stuff in the beginning or if they got a minute between sections.

When I took it at a university where we were split into smaller rooms/groups, we had maybe 30 seconds between sections? These proctors were students of the school (not law students though, but they ran it perfectly)

When I took it as the Marriott Hotel, the proctors gave us almost 2 minutes between sections! (These were not students, all different ages, backgrounds - the older man who called time messed up the first section calling the 5 minute warning when 10 mins were left, took a few mins but he corrected himself)
