A lot of people have emphasized the importance of applying earlier rather than later, with that said, obviously that would be discredited if an application submitted later had a significantly higher LSAT score.
What does your schedule look like for the next month or so? I would probably take another diagnostic and see if you are still in the 165-ish range, then maybe a couple of weeks of intense prep can get you up to the 170s. But if you are swamped with work and other responsibilities maybe that would impede studying it might be wise to wait until December.

You are young enough. Study for the February and retake in June if need be, then apply next year.

If you can get your LG scores up even a few questions I would say you could shoot for his year, get that up to 80% and you'll be great shape. If you don't do well, retake in Feb/June and apply next year.
