There are 15 preptests I haven't completed. That might sound like a great many, but there is a long time between now and December (re-taking the LSAT after getting a 167 in June; I'm applying to LS in Fall of 12), so I want to conserve them.
What are some good ways to study apart from taking official LSATS?

Since you have plenty of time before you re-take, thoroughly dissect questions from tests you have already worked and try to write out explanations for them.
Please don't take offense, but why are you re-taking a 167 and waiting until December to do it? One important factor for test day performance is being in 'LSAT mode'. It's going to be pretty hard to keep yourself in that mode for 6 more months with limited fresh materials to practice with.
You didn't miss many questions to score 167. What went wrong with those ones? Also, what was your practice score range leading up to the June test? (honest timed simulated test day conditions)

Agreed with above. Take in October... keep it fresh!
