I am planning to take the LSAT in October and have been PTing in the 163-170 range and would be happy with a 165-167 on the actual test. However, if I fall below the 165 level I would seriously consider taking the test again in December. My question therefore concerns the effect of a later application (three weeks after the december LSAT is given) on any acceptance chances as opposed to an application that is submitted with the October scores, assuming, that is, if i score better the second time I take the test. I am worried because a lot of the schools I am applying to have rolling admissions and I have heard that with rolling admission it is much more advantageous to apply as early as possible. However, I would hate to submit an application with LSAT scores that I am not comfortable just to get in an early app.
Some of the schools that I am applying to are Yeshiva, Fordham, Brooklyn, Seton Hall, St. John's.
Of course this is a hypothetical question (if I get a 180 I won't have to worry about this at all, lol), just wanted to ask about the general consensus of applying a little bit later with december scores?

Re: Possible December Retake
Not 100%, but I'm under the impression that both your PT Range and hypothetical would get you into those schools, possibly with some $$$
