How to effectively diagram game 3 on PT 40?

Post by thatsnotmyname » Sun Jan 10, 2010 11:49 pm

So I had a lot of trouble with the third game on PT 40. Apparently, according the PS Games Bible, this is a grouping game "disguised" as a mapping game. I guess, I just think it's difficult to keep track of all the possible relationships...

Our diagram may not mean much to you if you don't know our approach, but perhaps it will. http://www.atlaslsat.com/forums/preptes ... -t220.html If you have any questions, you can PM me or post a question there. It's a tough game -- particularly remembering that if city X connects with Y, then Y connects with X.

I could not tell you if this were one type of game masqueraded as another.
The only way this game makes sense to me is to write letters H M P T V in a row and connect the letters, I "x" the line for "not connected"
The initial setup is simply:
H Msub1 P T V with broken lines connecting 1)H and M and 2)H and T

the rules are
1) cityH --> cityT
2) PT --> notPV, and its corollary
3) PV --> notPT --> notPH

I wrote H M P T V with connecting lines for each question, keeping in mind that M is connecting to only one other city is the key

Edit: If you have any questions and people are slow to respond, search the forum archives.
I recall this question and many others discussed last summer.
