I'm not quite sure what to think of my cycle. I didn't write any "Why X" essays, so I'm not sure how to evaluate the waitlists. But there are a lot. That said, two of the reputably more "holistic" schools took me anyway, even though I have essentially zero extra-curriculars and no work experience. Weird.

Go to Stanford! It's a no-brainer decision. Send in the seat deposit ASAP and lock it up. If you are short on funds I'd be willing to donate an organ, blood and/or fluids or something to help make sure you have enough cash to cover the deposit.
If I could go to law school again I'd sell a kidney or other body parts to go to Stanford LS.
Seriously, lock that up and start packing and making arrangements to move to northern California.
With a Stanford J.D., if you later decide you don't like practicing law/working for a firm/litigating, whether in big law or with a smaller firm, you can go into academics and become a law school professor/faculty at a top tier law school. Highly ranked law schools like to fill their faculty (whether full time or adjunct) with people that have a degree/pedigree from H, Y or S law schools.
Faculty professors at good schools get paid very well (more than the average annual salary most LS grads get in their first ~5 years after graduation). Plus, you are not worked to death, get to kick back in an office reading stuff whenever you want and your typical day does not include a bunch of stressful adversarial stuff.

Please go to Stanford so you don't have a regret that will plague you for the rest of your life if you decide to go somewhere else. When invited to come over by Stanford you say yes and show up!
Other than Yale, Stanford is as elite as you can get. Harvard JDs are a dime a dozen at the top end these days due to the large class sizes, which is part of the reason why you see many Harvard LS grads being pundits on Fox news, MSNBC and various other political shows/channels to get paying gigs instead of holding a 70+ hours a week position at a big-law firm litigating.
