That story is bunk. It also goes on to say she was successful due to her familiarity with case law. WTF!? Bullcrap is what it is. I'm betting that the author f'd up some details and finer points and came up with that article...

Like past posters said "it's just a scantron" so they probably scanned our tests as soon as they got them ad they're just making us wait.

Does it say it was the February LSAT particularly? Maybe she took the December LSAT. I mean there was a -14 curve on that one...

Yeah, it has 0% accuracy: "Her notification of the honor included a telephone interview of her test knowledge. “The examination tested all of my abilities,” Thomas said. “The double major paid off, because I was familiar with the court cases and other relevant information.”" WTF? No. Sorry.BarcaCrossesTheAlps wrote:That story is bunk. It also goes on to say she was successful due to her familiarity with case law. WTF!? Bullcrap is what it is. Elaborate please. Do you mean because there was a -14 curve it somehow makes it more probable that an African American female could attain a perfect score?

"(AUSTIN, Texas) 2.27.12 — The United States Department of Education has named Huston-Tillotson University student Delisha L. Thomas one of four finalists with the nation’s highest Law School Admission Test (LSAT) score. Thomas received the written notification from Executive Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education Arnie Duncan ."
A finalist seems to suggest that she applied for something... and I don't think LSAC gives out everyones numbers to USDOA, nor are they required to. So it seems to me that she applied for something based on LSAT scores and she's one of the top 4 finalists.
She's so eager to go to law school in Texas, not even making it seem as if she's interested in HYS. If she received a 180, which correlates to IQ, her IQ shouldn't be too low, meaning that she should be relatively smart. So anyone who's relatively smart would pick HYS (which she shold be able to walk in with 180 and being AA). She won't pick HYS because she said she wants to go to Austin so she didn't get a 180.. or at least it doesn't seem like it..
Congrats to her if she did. I'm happy for her and wish her the best but it's very strange that LSAC would rank top scorers, give that info out to the government and then the government would call those people up..
So I think she's a finalist at some USDOE competition related to LSAT scores..

And seriously it doesn't say she took the February LSAT anywhere in the article, nor does it say she got a perfect score.

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread (NEW POLL!!!1!)
This is not totally improbable. First, she could of taken the December LSAT, making the computation and comparative analysis possible by February 17th, 2012. Secondly, she could of gotten a perfect score before the curve. The amount of people getting 180's before a curve is probably very very small. Has recognition like this ever happened before? Maybe, but I think to speculate and say this is all one big troll who wants to freak out the members of TLS is a bit absurd. Lastly, about her quotes, what sound better talking about how she read LGB and did all of the PC's or how her major really helped her. The media doesnt actually care, it's just a feel good story.anteater1 wrote:Dafuq.........ross1004 wrote:For those of you following on twitter,
