What I'm wondering is if being "rolled over to the regular decision applicant pool" essentially just means you will eventually be waitlisted?
I applied ED to USC and was rolled over to RD. if I am to be accepted now, it is not binding. But, this makes me think that there's no way they'll admit me(at least not unless I've been waitlisted first) because if they were going to admit me, they would've done it when I was bound to go there through ED.
Any thoughts? Does anyone know of someone who has gotten rolled over and then accepted without being waitlisted first?

It doesn't mean you'll be waitlisted, it does mean that with the limited info on this year's pool that they get by looking at the ED applicants, they weren't sure. If they get a weaker than average pool, you may get accepted. They just didn't want to lock that space in the class down by the ED decision deadline because they thought there was a chance that a better applicant would fill it.
