I am full of anxiety everyday. Basically, I don't want this to ruin my life. It is a damn shame that higher education has become like this. I am thinking of just applying to Harvard, Stanford and Columbia next year. If I do not get in, I might not attend at all. Maybe $50-$70K at some other T-14's. I am not paying sticker at any T-14 with the exception of Harvard, Stanford or Columbia. These clowns in higher education have turned the educating of the American people into a business.

I know the risks given the schools I'm looking at attending (basically top 50 schools) , but I'm still very excited to get started. My excitement likely has a lot to do with the boredom I've been experiencing lately, having finished UG in December and being unable to find a job since then.

I've been stifling my excitement because I felt like it was misguided. Then I see all my friends genuinely happy doing things that have iffy job prospects.

Granted, they won't be taking on nearly as much debt as I will, but fuck it. I'm the youngest member of my family by 30 years, and I highly doubt I'll ever have wife/kids, so at worst I'm just sentencing myself to debt slavery.

Honestly...I've been through worse.

So, I'm actually really excited, haha.

I am very excited.

I will be graduating law school with very little (comparatively) total debt - approximately $57,000 from law school and undergrad combined, including living expenses.

i don't know why you wouldn't be excited. the federal government is choosing you as the future leading class and paying your way in recognition of your life achievement.

now it's time to live up to its expectations.
