Studying Abroad at Oxford - Affects LSAC GPA?

Post by leen063 » Wed Apr 27, 2011 11:16 am

Right off the bat, I want to apologize if this topic has been discussed before. I made use of the Google and the forum search function, but to no avail. :)

Anyways, here's my question. About a year from now I'll be attending Oxford University for a study abroad program. My home institution (T20 USNWR) lists the Oxford courses on my transcript but doesn't incorporate them into my GPA (they're listed as Pass/Fail). However, the program that I'll be attending Oxford through does convert the Oxford grades into the American (A, B, C, etc.) equivalents.

Assuming it's possible to have the study abroad program send a transcript to LSAC, will the study abroad courses be included in my LSAC GPA? I know that ordinarily study abroad credits wouldn't be counted, but is my situation different because the study abroad program converts the grades?

Probably not. Even though the system is similar, it's probably not LSAC approved
