You guys work because you're both mental defectives.
No, I'm a mental defective, and she isn't a citizen.

Law school isn't as soul crushing and all consuming as people here would have you think. There is plenty of time for a healthy social life.

Why four years? Are you a part time student? I heard that it's the best for both to break up before 1L starts, so your grades won't be affected by break-up and stuff. So, definitely a good move.

For whatever reason it is pretty ballsy (if realistic) to come at it with that attitude. I will be away from my SO for almost a year before she can come with me so I can at least hope for the best but I think it would be awkward to know that our relationship will end in 6 months for sure.

I am hoping the long distance thing will make it easier because calling her for an hour a day and seeing her once a month seems doable and hopefully she won't fell like I was ignoring her like she would if I only spent one hour with her a day when she was living with me.

Check out the current law students board. There is a topic on there with some good insight into your question.

No, I'm getting an MA at the same time.
