How mobile is an Iowa Degree

Post by MoS » Mon Feb 15, 2010 8:27 am

I am not looking to head to either coast. The furthest from Iowa I would consider would be Texas. That aside, in surrounding states, Missouri Wisconsin Illinois, is it fairly easy to find a good jobs? I mean are all the good jobs located in one area or can you have a decent choice of cities?

I am interested in this as well. I am probably going to end up in Iowa so I have been looking into it myself. The impression that I get is that Iowa is not a very mobile degree because outside of Iowa its hard to find people who know anything about Iowa. Its just not "known" for anything-maybe flooding?Corn? We might have to depend on our own legal skills in establishing a career outside the region but that might be easier because the education is suppose to be great. 19th I think in the educational rankings report?

All of the aforementioned is total speculation and just impressions that I get from my own browsing around the internet.
