I have gotten more projects in the past three weeks than I have before. Like, I'm leaving y'all. This cannot all be accomplished in two weeks so what do you want me to do?.. I also have two weeks of undergrad left and I'm sitting in the library on TLS b/c I also have no motivation to do school work.Watababe wrote:And how about those projects that are due before you're going to be gone and you're generally like "yeah ok I'll do...something I guess" because that's where I'm at with some things I have to have done later this monthguybourdin wrote:I keep getting new projects to start and am receiving even less support than usual on finishing things. Torn between "Putting a countdown on my phone would just show the world how much I'm looking forward to leaving" and "I don't care I do what I want"chandhi wrote:noKeilz wrote:Am I the only one who has already put in notice and started a countdown on my phone??

Yeah, but if I didn't know what TLS was I probably would be procrastinating some other way. And I also probably would not have studied as hard/efficiently for the LSAT.chandhi wrote: I'm so glad I didn't know what TLS was in undergrad. I would def not be going to a top law school now lol

Last day is June 30th, already gave notice. Huge US road trip for the entire month of July/maybe the first week of August. Want to quit right now so bad, but I have a "qualifying event" coming up at work that will let me make overtime even though I'm salaried. The overtime alone will cover 4-6 months of rent at school depending on which apartment I go with. Have to stay focused. Somehow.

I was really hoping I'd get laid off before June, but looks like I'm still on schedule to quit June 21st.
Please hurry, I need to visit Sanrio Land.

Is quitting mid May too early? I'm super done at job and want to either put in my two weeks or reduce my hours by half until the end of June. Only concern would be if I somehow get a waitlist interview after quitting.

If you can afford it, do it! Even in an interview, who cares? You can just tell them you're reading, traveling, etc. (there may be good tips on Asha's blog).mtf612 wrote:Is quitting mid May too early? IMO, it's only too early if either you haven't been working there long enough for it to count as solid resume experience, or if you would struggle financially if you quit this early. If you have solid resume fodder and your finances are in check, then you don't need to stick around if you don't want to. I'm also considering trying to go longer but reduce my hours though, that way I'd get some extra money and some extra resume fodder.mtf612 wrote:Is quitting mid May too early? Just realized that this will be the longest period of time in which I haven't been either working or in school since 2008 when I was 15... wowzers.

How would you be spending your time? When is your orientation? I'm quitting mid may, but taking up a part-time gig for $ and spending my time helping my parents renovate their home to sell since it's likely the last large chunk of time I'll have. I'd just be worried about $$, getting bored out of your mind, and making sure that you have enough WE on your resume already. If those aren't going to be factors, then go for it, I'd say.mtf612 wrote:Is quitting mid May too early? Re: Official Senioritis / Quitting Thread - Class of 2020
Time would mostly be spent working out to lose a bunch of LSAT weight I put on last year lol. Also general relaxing, reading, prepping for school, working on my typing speed, etc. I've got over two years WE at this job, and they know I'm going to school in a few months, ai there isn't really anything I'll gain for my resume here. I'd just need to be frugal for a few months.LSRAT wrote:How would you be spending your time? When is your orientation?
