Has anyone received ASW reimbursement yet? Or know when we can expect to receive it?

Re: Duke Law Class of 2019
Hey all, congrats and welcome to Duke! If anyone is looking to move to Durham this summer and get comfortable with the area before school starts, my roommate and I are looking to sublease our 2br apartment which is very close to the law school, right next to the Duke running trails, and only a few minutes from downtown. It's a fairly cheap option which was the biggest selling point I was looking for when coming to Durham a year ago. If you're interested feel free to reach out and I can send you more information!
Again, congrats to all of you!

Re: Duke Law Class of 2019
I think it's being updated by those who are switching to 100%, and not many others. I can make a new poll, but like I said a few pages back, I'm not very creative and I am more interested in attendance than the other interest stuff (though they may be more fun). But I do have an idea, so let me get to work and I will try and get something up.BillClinton Jr wrote:Is this poll still accurate?

New poll. I know there are only 19 who confirmed from other poll, but feel free to vote in this one.

I got mine in the mail today! I'm not going to Duke, but I just wanted to let you all know and thank you all for being so lovely here and at ASW. Maybe our paths will cross in the legal world somedayBillClinton Jr wrote:Anyone get the travel reimbursement yet?

For those who just off wl, have you talked with the ao about the scholarship thing? Since they made it clear that they run out of budget, is it still possible that we can have scholarship? Are you going to submit the acceptance form and deposit before you talk with them about the scholarship thing?
Many thanks!

I called them and they're not only out of money but over budget. There's no chance for scholarship for us at this point - still deposited anyway. Hopefully we'll be able to pay off our debts with great jobs!lydia1121 wrote:For those who just off wl, have you talked with the ao about the scholarship thing? Probably a newb question, but what does LARW stand for? Looking at the academic schedule and it uses those annotations a couple of times :O

That's sad... how about need-based aid? Are they the same budget?robidizzle wrote:I called them and they're not only out of money but over budget. My understanding is yes. Outside grants are the only non-loan funding available at this point.lydia1121 wrote:That's sad... how about need-based aid? Does anyone know what the deal is with fall break? on the academic calendar it says that from October 10-14 there are no classes. However, it also says that is is also 1L LARW Writing Week. Does that mean we have to stay in Durham? Or that we are given time to write our papers over break?

The latter. It's a legitimate break, but if you are a procrastinator...lymenheimer wrote:Pretty sure the latter. I haven't received any information on how to submit the second deposit. Do we just do it the same way we did for the initial deposit? I emailed admissions and Bursar last week but didnt get a response....
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
