I've been holed up for the past 9 days 8am-6pm being trained in Wilderness First Aid. Sucking at all things useful and science-y has reaffirmed that I should go to law school.OhBoyOhBortles wrote:Stories?Rigo wrote:Hi.

I, too, responded in the affirmative when presented with that possibility in order to continue making $. (I caved.)CM3809 wrote:Earlier today my boss asked me if I could push my end date back an extra week. I agreed to it, like a little bit*h. Could use the money though

I had expected a nice, easy last couple of months training my replacement, but they're having a hard time finding someone so I'm stuck here doing my day job...OhBoyOhBortles wrote:I, too, responded in the affirmative when presented with that possibility in order to continue making $. Well the good news is that if the 8 month checkup trend continues you'll be long gone by the time she gets around to checking up on your progress again.wonka wrote:wonka's boiling in a pit of fury today.
Okay so back when I actually worked at my job I put hours and hours into this huge project. It took literally 6 months of writing/editing/designing hundreds of pages of material. My boss gives too few f*cks to keep track of what I do day to day, but more than enough f*cks to be super particular about certain formal aspects of what we do - and she doesn't tell me about those particularities when I start something, even if I ask. So of course today she actually needs to use my stuff and looked at it for the first time in 8 months. And of course she decided that practically everything is wrong and the whole system I set up just isn't gonna work for her, even though it's perfectly logical and can totally work and the content is good. It's not even a mistake or incorrect, it's just *not right* and it could have been avoided if she just would've spent 2 minutes of her time 8 months ago to either explain how she wanted this done or at least to check up on how that project was moving along, like I asked her please to do. Anyway this is going to take the the rest of my time here to straighten out and I am so done.

Am I bitter that I need to actually do something? Probably.
