Valuable skills ... bandages don't come in cans with Care Bears on them ,.. Unless your a plan ahead kind of comedian and you fill your first aid kit with them :)
A guy with a cut is not thrilled when you send him off in camo and a bright Rainbow bandage

This is THE place to waste time on TLS.

On the quitting-my-job-soon front, I stooped to a new low last night. Spent the entire time here writing songs. Didn't even care to keep my computer off screensaver.

I have to go buy a few plants to put around the koi pond. The Latin name is those things like grass with feathery kind of things at the tops, you know, 3-6' tall stalks. I hope the guy at the garden center understands Latin. quod scripsi, scripsi

Earlier today my boss asked me if I could push my end date back an extra week. I agreed to it, like a little bit*h. Could use the money though

I, too, responded in the affirmative when presented with that possibility in order to continue making $. (I caved.)

I had expected a nice, easy last couple of months training my replacement, but they're having a hard time finding someone so I'm stuck here doing my day job...

Are you involved in the interview/selection process?

That's awesome. And a great example of quitting-soon-ioritis.

You should probably lower your/their standards and just take the next person who comes up.

I moved my last day back too, though my last day is dependent on how long I need to look for an apartment. How long are you guys planning for visiting the actual area ahead of time?

To be clear, this isn't because I don't need the $ or I'm living with my parents. It's because I get shit pay and I have no leave left to take off to visit apartments

wonka wrote:wonka's boiling in a pit of fury today.

Okay so back when I actually worked at my job I put hours and hours into this huge project. It took literally 6 months of writing/editing/designing hundreds of pages of material. My boss gives too few f*cks to keep track of what I do day to day, but more than enough f*cks to be super particular about certain formal aspects of what we do - and she doesn't tell me about those particularities when I start something, even if I ask. So of course today she actually needs to use my stuff and looked at it for the first time in 8 months. And of course she decided that practically everything is wrong and the whole system I set up just isn't gonna work for her, even though it's perfectly logical and can totally work and the content is good. It's not even a mistake or incorrect, it's just *not right* and it could have been avoided if she just would've spent 2 minutes of her time 8 months ago to either explain how she wanted this done or at least to check up on how that project was moving along, like I asked her please to do. Anyway this is going to take the the rest of my time here to straighten out and I am so done.

/rant.

Am I bitter that I need to actually do something? Probably.
Well the good news is that if the 8 month checkup trend continues you'll be long gone by the time she gets around to checking up on your progress again.

Leave some fun little easter eggs for her.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
