Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
Google maps says GULC is 2hrs from my apartment. I spent 9 hours on the goddamn road today. I know I won't be driving much if I go to Georgetown, but seriously, the beltway is insane. Never. Again.

Dear Georgetown,
I love your DC location and your modern campus. I want to attend your school more than anything. Help a brother out.

Dr. Spaceman
PS- My medical degree is a lie. Yours is the only doctorate for me, so please show me financial aid love.

Just got my merit offer via email. Pretty generous, considering Georgetown has a reputation for being stingy. PM for specifics.

Got an email today asking "why Georgetown/ what finance do you need" and it indicated another wave of scholarships on March 23rd.Gray wrote:Congrats guys! Hopefully next round will happen soon?

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
Merit offer via email a few mins ago. PM for details.
More than I expected from LSN, but not enough to make it worth attending or useful for negotiations. Will be withdrawing soon to free up the money for those still waiting.
Good luck to everyone in the next round!

Also got my offer, and agreed on them being more generous than I expected. I have the same offer at UCLA, making this a very difficult decision. Better LRAP versus lower total cost of attendance??

Just got a merit award as well. Not as much as some of my other offers, which is disappointing, but its probably pretty good for them.

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
historically what is the lowest school Georgetown will consider in negotiations? I don't have any other T14 offers yet, but surely Vandy/UT/UCLA would have some leverage?
As far as USC/WUSTL/Emory/GW etc; Georgetown will probably ignore these right?

I was in the initial round of scholarship feeler emails (above both 75ths) and didn't receive anything today - wondering what this means

Accepted 2 weeks ago and haven't received an email like this. Is it worth me reaching out and expressing my interest in being considered for merit aid?

Anecdotally, Vandy and UT are seriously considered. This year, moreover, Admin is really trying to offer more scholarships so good luck!supersplittysplitter wrote:historically what is the lowest school Georgetown will consider in negotiations? Yeah, but make sure you include your best offers in the email to have them prioritize.

Also, I was a splitter as well. If you PM me your stats, I can give you a more accurate account of what you can expect.misanthrope wrote:Anecdotally, Vandy and UT are seriously considered. If we fill out the scholarship intent to enroll form, we don't need to send any money until May 1st?

ok thanks. I'd imagine it's better to wait and have a more competitive offer than reach out without one? Still waiting to hear from most similarly ranked schools.

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2018
I've been looking through some old threads and I do not think that the scholarship intent to enroll form is binding. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
