That's what I did for an employer affidavit. I'm still waiting to hear if that's sufficient or if they want me to try harder to get it.jingosaur wrote:One of my affidavits is a notarized letter from me saying the people I worked with for one job wouldn't respond to my emails requesting them to fill out the Pro Bono form. Has anyone here done something similar and will it affect my admission? I have enough hours from other pro bono gigs.

Yes, that's it!runinthefront wrote:Can I ask a clarification re: the pro bono form? We fill it out ourselves and have it notarized. And then we mail it to our pro bono employers who basically just sign off on it and mail it back without getting a second notarization? Is that the procedure?

Just got an email saying my "Orientation Affirmation Completion" is missing. Assuming that's the 2 hour online video?

Ugh -- could it be the player you're using? Like it's cropping it out somehow?pinky7 wrote:I’m on the last video and haven’t seen anything yet. Unless I’m blind...Toubro wrote:I haven't watched them yet. They're not in there?!pinky7 wrote:That’s what i assume too

It’s possible. Chrome wouldn’t even load, but on safari i have it on full screen and I’m really looking in the last video. Maybe it’s on the left! Wait, maybe right!

The codes only pop up for like 2 seconds. You need to be watching quite closely.

okay so I walked my application in on November 28, 2017 and received a tentative ceremony date enclosed with an attorney registration form and instructions re: the check on Friday.
Anyone know how long it takes to get the emailed official notice?

Re: First Department
I received a general information email the other day with an attachment providing info for the interview and the swearing in ceremony. The page on the swearing in ceremony says that everyone is limited to two guests. I had previously asked at my firm and was told there was no limit.
Can anyone from previous ceremonies speak to whether they actually check number of guests or if you're cool as long as you're not rolling in with like 10 people?

I'm very late to the party here, but I've finished 3/4 of the videos and the codes have been very easy to spot so far. They're all there, you might just need to scroll down or adjust your screen to make sure the video isn't cutting off for you.

Re: First Department
was this the email with your finalized dates? so far all i've gotten was the letter with tentative dates and it didn't include number of guests but i'm gunna have to break this to my immediately family in the nicest way possible if it's really a 2 guest limit lolBanshee wrote:I received a general information email the other day with an attachment providing info for the interview and the swearing in ceremony. Re: First Department
No, I received the email with the finalized dates and orientation video information and then about a week later received a general information email that included the 2 guest limit information. I still haven't been able to figure out if the limit is actually enforced though...Carly wrote:was this the email with your finalized dates? so far all i've gotten was the letter with tentative dates and it didn't include number of guests but i'm gunna have to break this to my immediately family in the nicest way possible if it's really a 2 guest limit lolBanshee wrote:I received a general information email the other day with an attachment providing info for the interview and the swearing in ceremony.
