July 2015 California Bar Predictions and Study Progress

Post by FancyP » Tue Jun 30, 2015 4:42 am

Here's what I think, just based on past examination patterns

1. PR
2. Con Law: either First Amendment or DPC/EPC or Commerce Clause
3. Evidence: likely CA
4. A CP hybrid like CP/Wills, CP/BA, or CP/Wills/Trusts
5. Crim law and/or Crim Pro
6. Torts

We are a month out and I still have yet to fully write out any essays or PTs. Focusing on MBEs and issue spotting essays. Where are you at this point in the game and how do you feel?

That list looks doable.

Same here. I have yet to write out a full essay or PT. MBE taking much of my time. I need to review my outlines and memorize rule statements. Feeling panicky at this point....

Predictions are BS - Know EVERYTHING (Except maybe water rights) 100%! Bar examiners are out to f*** you! They read these predictions too and find ways to screw u over! This exam is UNPREDICTABLE!

This past Feb:

PR was NOT tested.
Remedies was tested AGAIN (4th or 5th time in a row)
We pretty much had two contracts questions.

i memorized 70 sample answers, did about 2000 mbe's (in increments of 200 questions straight timed), mde a list of the reasons why i got each individual MBE question wrong and memorized this list.

my last essay i submitted for grading i scored 72.5
my last full length mbe exam i scored 78%

in spite of my scores, i still feel pretty scared. im a 3rd time taker, and i got a bar loan for my 1st atempt from sallie mae and ive been paying it off cuz i have no other choice. Im also just bearly getting by living on my own in the ghetto of downtown LA working as a law clerk for a sole practitioner in downtown. after finding out i failed the bar for the second time, i had to sit out of the feb 2015 because i didnt have enough money to study for it and i had to work for many months just to get enough money to study for july 2015.

so yeah, i guess its not my scores im scared of its more of the consequences if i dont pass.

this is actually very close to what some video predicted (5 of the 6). Except he said Corporations instead of torts.
