NY Bar Admission - From Passing to Being Sworn In
I was wondering if anyone with experience could tell me how long the process takes. Assuming I submit my completed file in two weeks, how much longer from then should the swearing in ceremony be?

A while. For people who found out they passed the July bar in November, I don't know of many who were sworn in earlier than February, and that was even just a few

My friend passed July and still hasn't been sworn in. They said they lost his paperwork. I hope you're not in a rush to be admitted. NY takes a while.

Crap. I was hoping that the process would be speedier for Feb-takers since there are far fewer exam-takers then.

Depends on your department. I found out I passed around early November (I think), and was sworn in in early February, and I was definitely among the first in my first year associate class to be sworn in. A whole bunch are still waiting. Just so much paperwork and so many silly steps
