LL.M. vs. Bar for foreign qualified lawyer

Postby sam_tx » Thu Nov 10, 2016 1:50 pm

I am a foreign qualified lawyer eligible to sit for the bar in Texas and with employment authorisation (eligible work visa). I currently stay in Austin and am not sure of the employment opportunities for a foreign graduate even if I pass the bar. Whic is why I am planning to apply for an LL.M. for fall 2017 in a few colleges in Texas.

Any inputs by working lawyers in Austin on what is a better course? LL.M. plus bar or should I just start preparing for the bar and sit for the exam in July 2017?
